About Us

Ridgeway Golf Club and Academy is a proprietry owned golf club with approximately 300 members. The membership is very active with all sections running events throughout the year.

The Mens section run all their competitions on a Sunday morning with the exception of an informal 9 hole 'bash' on Saturday morning. This takes place from 8.30am when any member can turn up and play with whoever is in the club for a £1 entry fee. This has proved to be an excellent way for new members to get involved without the seriousness of a medal round.

The Ladies Section have their competitions at 10am on a Wednesday and Saturday for the working Ladies. A very full fixture list is in place each year for the competitive member although many of the ladies enjoy a friendly 9 holes in the attractive surroundings.

The Senior Section are extremely active and hold their competitions on a Monday and Thursday morning starting at 8.30am. The Seniors are well organised and also have a very full fixture list run efficiently by their committee. Many of the seniors can also be seen playing on other days throughout the week.

The Junior Section at Ridgeway is very strong with membership numbers now approaching 100 in total. Bob Dowers and the Club Captain Ian Hatherill run the junior section in a way that other clubs would be envious of with the tee reserved at 1pm every Saturday for the juniors to play their league competitions
