At the Annual General Meeting held in the clubhouse on Friday 16th October 2009 Mr Andrew Silver was elected as Club Captain for 2010. Following a warm welcome from the gathering Andy said he was looking forward to an exciting year and that he had received many offers of help already from the membership. He was certain that this support would be useful in forming Handicap, Competition and Social committes.
Andy informed the meeting that his chosen charity would be Trinity Fields and he hoped that the membership would give this charity their support. He congratulated Tim James on his excellent year as Club Captain and thanked him for the three years hard work as Secretary. Tim confirmed that although he was standing down as Secretary he would be making himself available to the committee
The Captain was pleased to announce that Mr Adrian Tanner had accepted his invitation to be Vice Captain of the Club and this was applauded by the meeting. Adrian has been a very active member of the club and has worked very hard throughout 2008, since taking over from Steve Buck, in organising and rallying members to play in the Halletts section of the club.
