Handicap information
Ridgeway Golf Club: - Handicaps all you Need to know!!
At Ridgeway our handicap system comes under the general rules and guidelines as set out by the CONGU unified handicapping system.
There will be an annual review of all handicaps which will be done by the 1st of February each year. The process for this will be a notice which will go up 6 weeks before the review meeting, any member can submit a letter to the review asking for their handicap to be looked at (up or down with evidence).
Handicaps will be updated based up on results within qualifying competitions and general play; the competitions will be divided in two and based upon – Summer Rules and Winter Rules
Summer Rules – the review is automatic based upon qualifying competitions scores, a list of all members handicaps will be updated each week and put on the notice bored. Members must review this during the summer competitions. The handicap committee will meet every 2 months and review this process.
Winter Rules – there will be no automatic review and the list will not be updated by this process. The handicap committee will meet every 2 months and review handicaps based upon qualifying competitions scores and this will come under General Play.
